WAMITAB Training

What is WAMITAB?
The CIWM/WAMITAB Operator Competence Scheme was approved by Defra and the Welsh Assembly Government for England and Wales on December 22nd 2008. Participation in the scheme by gaining primary competence provides evidence of the technical knowledge needed on a waste site. This evidence can be required by employers based in the waste industry and the environmental regulators
What We Offer
We are able to train you or your workforce for waste management activities to help build you existing waste qualifications. We offer a training programme tailored to you business needs and where possible will train you at your site or business.
We also provide assessment service through an accredited WAMITAB centre, registering candidates, overseeing the assessment process before certificates are issued by WAMITAB.
The work of our assessors is verified by our internal verifiers before certificates can be issued by WAMTAB.
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor

D.G.S.A. is short for Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor. If you transport goods by road or rail there is always the element of risk. If the goods are dangerous there is the risk of an incident such as spillage of the goods and causing hazards such as fire, explosion, chemical burns or environmental damage. To limit incidents and to ensure that loads are safe, regulations outlining the need for a D.G.S.A. have been set in place by the Health and Safety Executive to regulate the transport of dangerous goods.
Who requires a Dangerous Goods Advisor (DGSA)?
Any organisations/business who pack, consign, load and carry dangerous good by road must appoint a Dangerous Goods Advisor (DGSA).
What we offer
Dangerous Goods Training and Advisory Services can act as your DGSA and advise the undertaking in and monitor the compliance with the carriage of dangerous goods, prepare an annual report and ensure all the specified procedures are in place and adhered to.
